Firefighter Qualifications

1. Applicant must express a desire to fill a vacancy on the department roster.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
4. Must have a valid Georgia Drivers license.
5. Must have an insured vehicle.
6. Must be a resident within the Sandersville Fire Dept. Fire District as outlined by the 911 map.
7. Must complete and submit a City of Sandersville written employment application.
8. Must sign release forms for MVR check and criminal history check.
9. Must be of good moral character.
10. Must have not been convicted of a felony in the past 10 years.
