The government of the City of Sandersville is made up of the Mayor and City Council, along with several Commissions, Boards, and Authorities. Council members are elected from different geographical areas, called districts, within the city. The exception to this is the Mayor Pro-Tem who is elected "at large", which means that this council person can reside anywhere in the city.
