Ambulance service is provided to the residents of Sandersville by the Washington County Emergency Medical Service a full advanced life support service.
EMS has operates two advance life support ambulances 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a third 12 hour ambulance available on Fridays and Saturdays. Each ambulance is stocked with the latest advance life support equipment. The department has 25 skilled staff members including full time and part time EMTs and office clerks.
Washington County EMS covers eight municipalities with a total population of 10,238. EMS also provides service to 10,938 people outside of the municipalities totaling 21,176 people served.
All medical emergencies should be reported by dialing 9-1-1 and non-emergency services may be scheduled by calling 478-240-2199.
