The Washington County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Sandersville are working to develop a mural downtown across from Thiele Park to recognize the accomplishments of our hometown resident Gold Medalist Allisha Gray. Planning is well underway for the mural with a program to unveil the mural tentatively planned for early Spring. Thank you to all of those who have expressed an interest in honoring Allisha and in supporting this project in our beautiful downtown. We are inviting you to participate in the development of this mural to honor Allisha for her dedication and hard work and the recognition her accomplishments bring to our City. Placed near the Mural on the Esquire wall facing Thiele Park will be a donor plaque recognizing all of our “Supporters of Allisha”. FREE COVID TESTING INFORMATION

Free COVID-19 testing is offered twice weekly in Sandersville -- Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon. For screening for testing through the North Central Health District, you must contact the COVID-19 testing number 844-987-0099 to get a referral for testing. The health district also offers testing on different days in each county in the district (see schedule here).
